The United'States Supreme Court has declared as unconstitutional the Act of Congress prohibiting railroads engaged in interstate commerce from discriminating between members of labor organisations in matters regarding employment. The Courtheld that the master mechanics of the Louisvill.e-Naslivillo railroad were entitled to discharge an employee because he was a member of a labor organisation.
