Uiiited Press Association—Copyright (Received Jan. 27, 11.8 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 27. Owing to threatened evictions for tho non-payment of rent, tho Leitrim Couty Council resolved to warn the Government to restrain the landlords or their lives will be risked.
During the resisting of evictions, Sergeant Cleary and Constable Fitzroy, on duty at Summer Hill, Wicklow, wero fired on at night time. Nino pellets struck Fitzroy’s head. One penetrated his eye and palate.
