INTERVIEW WITH NEW ZEALAND’S TRADE REPRESENTATIVE.
United Press Association—Copyright (Received Jan. 28, 1.12 a.m.) BRISBANE, Jan. 27. Air. Gow, New Zealand’s trade representative to Canada, has arrived by the Moaua. He lias found that commercial men in Canada, are very anxious to do business with possessions under the British flag. The recent depression, in America had affeoted tho Canadian business a good deal, but ho was hopeful that trade between Canada and New Zealand would be worked up in tho near future.
The feeling in Canada against the Commonwealth tariff is still strong, and people there expected far -better terms from Australia.
The All Red route is being freely discussed by Canadian commercial commercial men, and they are hopeful that tho scrvico will be brought into operation. The Japinese question as receiving the serious attention of the people of Canada, and was one of the chief planks of the Opposition platform in Parliament. It is estimated that there are 90,000 Japanese residing in Honolulu, while t-he white population onfly are found in almost every fhusi. ness there. ■ --i-
