COMPLAINT TO THE WAR OFFICE.

Mr. Taverner, Victorian AgentGeneral, interviewed Mr. Haldane, Secretary for War, and complained that the alterations .in the War Office specifications for tinned meat contracts, closing on January 13tb, and permitting the use of cheap 31tins, had placed Victorian tendeis at a disadvantage compared with fbe Auierioans.
