THE NEWCASTLE STRIKE.
WORK RESUMED. United Press Association—Copyright (Received Jan. 22, 9.36 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 22. The greater part of tho States participated in tho wheelers’ strike. The Back Creek and Duckenfield collieries with all other pits have resumed. The constantly recurring troubles are caused by the wheelers, and their defiant attitude endangers a general settlement, and causes the Miners’ Federation great anxiety.
