Reeves’s appointment expired on Juno 10th, and he declined to seriously consider or discuss tho suggestion of changes in the administration of the High Commissioner's office, or the future tenure of. the appointment, at present. Sir Joseph gave an emphatic denial to the statement that Mr. T. Mackenzie inis ben influenced by the Government in his recent declaration of his future attitude in matters political.
