THE MINISTERIAL VISIT,

A meeting of the Borough Councd AVorks Committee was held yesterday afternoon. It- was decided to do the best possible to entertain the Hon. Air. AlcNab in a suitable manner and make his visit interesting. It has been suggested that the Hon. Mr. AlcNab be asked to open the Roebuck road bridge at such time as may be arranged tvhen lie arrives here. The bridge will be decorated and possibly the band will be called out. A deputation from the Railway League will wait upon the Aliuster for Lands to urge on the speedy construction of the line. A nu.uber of other deputations will ebo interview him during his stay. The party, including the Nativo Minister will be met at the Waip-ia bridge by his Worship the Mayor and the County Chairman and Councillors. In regard to the route, it was understood that the party was to come via Tiniroto, but apparently ihe plans have been altered. Air.
