CLARA BUTT.
PROBABLE VISIT TO GISBORNE
The public will quite understand, that to bring the world’s greatest singer to Gisborne for three days, to give one concert only, will involve a very heavy cost to the management. In fact, they can hardly be expected to take the risk without having some idea- of the prospects of the visit. In order to test the feeling of the Gisborne public, and also residents of the surrounding district, Mr. W. Miller (by arangement with Messrs J. and N. Tait) will open a provisional box plan on Thursday morning next at 10 a.m. The box plan will remain open till the following Alonday, the 27th inst. A charge of one guinea will be made for the first reserves and half a. guinea, for tho second reserves. Mr Miller, wishes it to he distinctly understood that the final decision regarding the Gisborne concert will depend entirely on the result of the booking recorded between now and Monday, tho 27th inst. Country people may reserve seats by letter.
