NEW ZEALAND TOURIST TRAFFIC.
ARRANGEMENTS ADVERSELY CRITICISED.
Press Association.
PALMERSTON NORTH, Jan. 15. Mr. David Anderson, the general manager of tho Orient Pacific mail steamers for Australia, lias been criticising the tourist arrangements to the “Manawatu Times” yesterday. Ho strongly deprecated doubling back from Rotorua to Eranklyn Junction, as ho had been advised to do by the Tourist Department in order to reach AVanganui line, instead of coming via Taupe and Taumaranui. He considered that tho Tourist Donartmeut should undoubtedly develop the Taupo route.
