Th« test match was resumed in broiling weather with a shade tempera turo ol ovor 107. The attendance totalled 3/200 and the gate was £173. Noble 03 and O’Conor 4, laced the bowling of Fielder and Barnes, tho total being 133. Only 2 runs wore added when Noble cut a ball from Fielder into the hands of Gunn at third man. Noblo batted for 2 hours and 50 minutes, and his innings was marked by dogged determination. Clark stroked Nicholas’s crew in tho latter’s absence, beating Fox’s crew. The crews raced in fairly close order to the Point, where Clark •lengthened out and won by two lengths.
