Vegetables are double the price they are in anv ocher town .in the Dominion, and when I went into a shop the other night to buy a few tomatoes, I was surprised to find that 1 had to pay a shilling a pound. And very poor tomatoes they proved to be, too, when I got them home. Somebody must he making a good thing out of tho consumer. —I am, etc., “CHEAP-JACK.”
