Mr. H. Riper has accepted ail engagement as accompanist to Te Rangi Bai. He leaves for AA’airoa on Thursday. Mr. F. A. Bridges, of the local Mr. F. J. A Bridges, of the local Saturday morning. Ho will be replaced by Mr. Gedge, of Te AwalllUtll. Mr. lan Simson, Crown Lands ranger, returned from Auckl.i id yesterday and will attend the Land Board meeting. -• Miss Burgess, mistress of the Petanc school, lias been appointed assistant- mistress at Mangapapa, and takes up her duties in February.
