PRIMITIVE METHODIST CONFERENCE.
Press Association. DUNEDIN, Jan. 9. The fifteenth Primitive Methodist Conference met this afternoon. _ Over one hundred delegates and visitors were present. The Rev. TVard was in the chair. The following officers were appointed: —Rev. Olphert, president; Mr. Rudd, vice-president; secretary, Rev. Southern; assistants, Revs. Featherston, Woolloxall, and Mr. Moor; letter writers, Revs. Rain and Liddle, and 'Mr. Varney: reporters, Revs. Drake, Mann, and Cocker; auditors, Revs. Clement and Dobbs. The Rev. Flanagan (Englajl<l) received a hearty welcome. Committees were appointed. The President’s address will be delivered to-morrow. In the evening the church was crowded. The sermon by the Rev. J. Flanagan was on “The Fruits of Prayer,” showing that prayer was a revelation of the unseen, a glorification of the commonplace, and &■ transfiguration of life. -The sermon sustained the evangelist’s • great reputation, being a masterly deliverance.
