MINISTER OF LANDS TO VISIT THE EAST COAST.
(Special to Times). WELLINGTON, January 7. Mr. Ali-N’ah is about to start: cm an extensive tour of the East Coast and inland in the Auckland and Wellington land districts. He will proceed <ni Tuesday from Napier to Aloliaka. On Wednesday he will reach AA airoa at midday and receive deputations. Next day ho wil continue his journey towards Gisborne, driving through Wairon to Tiniroto on Friday night.” Gisborne will be reached on Saturday and will he spent, in visitinj4 t.lio 'IV Ai’ni cstjitr, recentl.\ acquired compulsorily under the Land for Settlements Act, while Sunday will be passed in Gisborne. During the second week the Minister will make liis way further north along the coast, reaching Tolaga Bay on 'Monday January 20th, returning in Gi-horno on Wednesday and taking train to To Pulm where lie will spend the night. Thursday evening will, if the proposed itinerary -is adhered to, see the travellers at Motu, from where tlicv will ride on horseback next day to Opotiki. On Saturday a very heavy day's travelling is contemplated, commencing with a six-teen-mile drive to AA hakatane. thence to Rotorua. (70 miles) by motor car. On the following Monday (January 27th) the Atinister will travel to Talima rnmii bv train and on Tuesday J annua ry 28th from Taumaranui by train and coach to R-iotihi. Ho intends spending a complete day m this rapidly-developing centre on the Alain Trunk Rai’wny. On Thursday it is his intention to reach lailiape and on .Tanuary be will travel from Tailiape to AYellington.
