AUC KLA ND TO URNAAI ENT. Press Association. AUCKLAND, Jan. 4. The Auckland lawn tennis championship meeting was continued today .in fine weather. Results:—Men’s Championship Singles (final). —S. Upton beat J. P. Grossman 7—5, o—o, (i—o; J .allies’ Championship Singles (final). —Miss A. Gray beat -Miss D. IJdy (j—2, o—l. For the final of tlio Men’s Doubles Championship Dr. Keith and A. Brown meet Paterson and Upton next Saturday. The final in the Ladies’ Doubles Championship rests between Mrs Cooper and .Miss Harvey and Mrs Muir and Miss Hull. The semi-finals in the Combined Doubles were not concluded to-dav.
WELLINGTON TOURNAMENT. WELLINGTON, January 5. The finals of tho remaining events on the programme of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association’s Tournament were played yesterday on the Thorndon Club’s courts. The weather was again perfect and the games were watched witli interest by a large number of spectators. Following are the results:—Men’s Championship Singles (semi-final) —R. N. K. Swans■toii beat H. V. Howe, 0-4. 6-2; final, R. N. K. Swanston boat G. Ollivier j 6-2, G-4. Ladies’ Championship Singles (final) —Mrs. Hickson beat Miss Williams, 6-2, 6-0. Combined Championship Doubles (semi-final) —Miss Alarchant and H. M. Gore beat Misb Hickson and G. Ollivier, 6-3 6-4; final—Yfrs. Hickson and R. N. K. Swanston boat Miss Marchant and H. M Gore 0-4, 6-0. Ladies’ Championship Doubles (final)—Airs. Hidkson and Afiss E. Williams beat Alissos Hickson and J. Scott, 6-0, 6-1.
