Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have eccivcd the following cable from their London office : "The frozen meat marvet is firm, without change in prices.” TIAIARU WOOL SALES. Press Association. TJAIARU, Jan. 3. At the wool sale to-day 12.300 bales i'ere catalogued. The sale lasted ■ loin 9 a.in. till late at night. About 10 buyers were present. The bidding v.is very erratic, many lots eliciting >!> bids and many more obtaining bids below average values. There vas a considerable proportion of withdrawals. (Super lialf-breds and mnmos sold readily. Alodium ballon d ; showed slight- improvement on asl sale, and were well competed lev. Loar.e crossbreds were neglected. Prices were as follows:—Superior merino KPd to -llf*d, medium 9d to IOJd, super half-bred 10Vd to 12fd, medium 8-Jd to 10d, inferior 8d to 9d, super three-quarter Sipl to 11. Id, medium 7.1 d to 85d, super crossbred 7d L> Bid, medium (id to 75(1, faulty 5!,d to GJd, pieces 7-Jd to DJd, bellies 4sd to Gd. locks 2Jd to 4d.
