IRISH POLITICAL PARTIES.

STATEMENT BY MR. REDMOND. MR. O’BRIEN BLAMED FOR THE DEADLOCK. United Press Association—Copyright (Received Jan. 3, 8.42 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. .3. Mr. Redmond, in a lengthy statement, says tho failure to summon tlie party and the Directory to endorse the action of the conference was due to Mr. O’Brien’s demand to immediately summon, which would be inopportune and not making for unity, but the strife was due also to Mr. O’Brien’s proposal to transfer the arrangements to convene the meeting from the hands of the Directory to the committee of three, who are Mr. O’Brien's nominees.
