NEWCASTLE MINERS GO ON STRIKE. United Press Association—Copyright (Received Jan. 3, 0.3 a.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 2. Owing to a section of the employees at ths Pacific and Rhondda collieries in the Teralba district, and the Dudley colliery at Charlestown, and tho lidlirg worth colliery, near West Wallsend, ceasing work, the mines have been thrown idle. The cause of ihe trouble is the rate of wages to be j) lid from to-day.
