A DRUNKARD’S DEATH.
Press Association. NAPIER. Dec. 27. A mail named George A r alentiue Cliatterton Johnson avas arrested at Taradale on Tuesday for drunkenness, and when brought to Napier was found to be in a very bad’ state. He avas admitted to the hospital, avliere he died on Christmas D iv. it avas supposed from the effects of alcoholic poisoning. At the inquest the jury returned the folloaving verdict :—‘‘That tlie deceased met his.death from an acute attack of Bright’s disease, accelerated bv a drinking bout.”
