GERMANY ACTIVE ON THE FRONTIER. FRANCE NEEDS MORE GUNS. United Press Association—Copyright (Received Dec. 26, 8.27 a.m.) PARIS, Dec. 25. The French press insist on the necessity of incessant vigilance, owing to Germany constantly strengthening her strategic advantages on the frontier. They complain that the French army corps possess only 95 quick-firing guns against Germany’s 160, and urge that it is imperative to reinforce the French artillery to the extent of 240 more batteries.
