PERSONAL.
Air. F. J. Rowley leaves for Auckland on Saturday on Institute business. A number of friends of Constable Wales gathered together in Air. C. Alorse’s shop last evening to wish him farewell prior to his departure lor Port Awanui. Evidence of the esteem in wliich Mr. AA’ales is held by members of the community was mentioned in short speeches by Messr C. Aforse, AV. Murphy, and Constable Pratt. In a few appropriate words Constable AVales expressed liis appreciation of the sentiments expressed. Dr. Alorrison is at present on a visit to Auckland, and Dr. Campbell is acting as his locum tenens.
