Admiral Edward Seymour and seven hundred officers and men, veterans of the Indian Mutiny campaign, dined at Albert Hafll to-day in commemoration of the event. Tiho dinner was organiesd by the Daily Telegraph, the officials of the War Office and Admiralty 00-operating. Lord Roberts presided. (Received December 24, 10.9 p.m.) LONDON, December 24.
Six hundred and sixty Mutiny veterans unable to participate in the Albert Hall celebrations received Christmas hampers. Lord Roberts read King Edward’s message expressing gratifaction that so many survivors were present on the interesting occasion. Ho was confident that the whole Empire deeply appreciated the conspicious services, gallantry and endurance which under Providence saved the Indian Empire from grave peril. Lords Minto and Kitchener sent felicitations.
