It was resolved that a merit board should be procured, on which the batting and bovdling feats of exceptional merit could bo inscribed. A match, Married v. Single, was arranged for New Year s Day, play to commence at 10 a.m. On Saturday next, tho United Club were drawn to meet a combined eleven from the Wanderers, Tarulieru, and Te Ran Clubs at Y ictona Domain. , _ , On Boxing Day, the Thursday and Saturday representative elevens try conclusions at Victoria Domain, play commencing rat 10 a.m. The following elevens were handed in by the selectors: —Thursday team: J. Gibson, J. Wack, J. Lang, J. Monk, F. Burke, D. Miller, A. Lang, H. Wack, B. C. Baxter, E. Austin, and J. Doyle; emergencies, R. Emanuel', Brown, and Featon. Saturday team: W. Gibson, R. G. Hallamore, R. W. Cary, G. Hanker, S. Wilson, A. Young, C. Lasker, S. McConnell, F. G. Sharp, Glennie, Babb. Mr. H. E. Maude intimated that he intended to propose at next meeting that a concert or other form of entertainment should be held in February to raise funds for further improvements on the ground.
