POST OFFICE HOLIDAYS,
The Postmaster (Mr. W. 11. Renner) advises that the following Christinas and New Year holidays will be observed at tho'local Post and Telegraph Office: — Postal Branch.—Christmas Day, 25th December, and New Year’s Day, Ist January, 1908, will bo observed as (doso holidays. Boxing Day, 26th December, the Post Office will ho open in all branches excepting money order anil savings bank from 9 a.m. to 10 a-.m. Posting boxes will bo cleared 011 tho evenings of Tuesday, 24th, and 81-st December. The usual box clearance will also bo made on tlio mornings of tho 26th December and Ist January, 1908. Maills -usually despatched on Wednesday will ho closed on Tuesday nights, the 24tli and 81sb lin-st, followed by supplementary mails made up early on Christmas and New Year’s mornings. On Thursday, 26th December, tho usual despatch of mails will ho made up to 8 a.m..—posting boxes and receivers cleared accord in g/ly. On Tuesday evenings, tho 24th and 31st inst., deliveries of town letters will ho made between 7 and 8 pan. at tho post office wiickefc. Telegraph Office. —On Christmas Day, Sunday hours will be observed, viz.,’9.30 to 10 ia.m., and 5 to 5.30 p.lll. On Boxing and New Year’s Dtys tho office will open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight. The Telephone Exchange will observe special holiday hours on Christmas viz., 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. On Boxiing -and New Year’s Days com tinuous attendance as usual, viz., 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
