EXPLOSIVES ILLEGALLY • STORED. VICTIMS CHIEFLY RETURNED •EMIGRANTS. (Received Dec. 22, 4.25 p.m.) ROME, Dec. 21. The explosion was due to illegal storing of explosives. Two buildings, including an emigrants’ hotel!, were involved m the explosion, and a, cab passing at tho time was blown to atoms* Fifty bodies have been recovered in the mins. . . ' The majority of the victims were returned emigrants, including lo women faaid eight children.
