HAWKE’S BAY LAND BOARD

YESTERDAY’S MEETING. (Special to Times.) NAPIER, Dec. T 3. The following is a brief summary of the business transacted at tho meeting of tlie Haxvke’s Bay Land Board to-cia.y : —- FI. G. C. Rideout, lessee of small grazing run '6B, Mangatu survey district, applied for permission to have 130 acres reserved round Jiis homestead under sec. 177 of tlie Land Act, 1892. —Approved. H. McLeod, iesseo of sec. 4, block 14, Motu survey district, applied for a remission of rent under tlie Bush and Swamp Croxvn Lands Settlement Act. —Refused. J. R. Murphy 'forwarded an explanation as to the cutting of posts on pastoral run No. 48, Hangaroa survey district. —Posts to bp sold at market price. AY. Oates, secretary to the Cricket Club, Tokomaru Bay, applied for a miscellaneous lease over section 3, block 10, Tuatini Native township, reserved for public buildings.—Granted at a rental of £2 a year. J. FI. D. Rutledge, lessee of sec. 2, block 9, Uaxva survey district,, forxvaided an explanation as to liis nonresidence.—To be in residence by March Ist, 1908. The folioxving application was approved :—G. O. K. Sainsbury, section 3, Hangaroa Villago; J. Coonibe, jun., to J. Berry, sections 37 and 15, Hangaroa. Tho special circumstances in connection xvitli the application of B.:H. Aislabie to transfer sec. 73, II a rig tiro x villago settlement, to T. J. Phillips arc to ho submitted for the Minister’s consideration.

Tho following applications to transfer were approved : —P. McDermott to ;M. E. McDermott, sec. 4, block 9, Ngatapa ; R. G. Jexvelie to E. M. (Richardson, sec. 1, block 10, N-gata-pa ; J. Roddick to C. J. and J. B. Pickard, sec. 1, block 11, Uruta.xva East; H. O’Neill to D. Cowper, run 66, Taramarama; AY. J. Mossman to P. AY. Mossman, lot 1 of r.un 32, Hangaroa. On tho motion of Mr. .Bartram, it xvas decided that in dealing xvitli the revaluation of leases of small grazing runs the (Crown lands ranger embody in his reports the stock-carrying capacity of tho aroas dealt with.
