COOK COUNTY CURIOUS COONS? The final rehearsal for to-night’s production by the Coons was hefid last night, and surpassed the expectations of the most sanguine. The opening scene and the new bright costumes worn by the members created a most favorable impression. The solos and choruses were much above the average,.and rinist have entailed an enormous amount of work to being them up to such a state of perfection. The company consists of 21 members, including six corner men, Messrs Bruce, Puflett, Galloway, Baxter, Robinson, and Cary, with Mr Laurenson .as interlocutor' A'musical treat by first-class talent is prepared for to-night’s audience, and the Coons are to be congratulated on putting on such a wholesome programme. No expense has been spared in the mounting of the scenes, nor on the costumes, which are 311 additional attraction to the performance. The corner men wore in splendid form last evening, and have quite a number of loecfl witticisms in their repertoire. A capital house is a certainty, the hooking being for a local performance quite exceptional.
