About 400 employers were cited. Mr. TV •. ' Tito principal demands of tlio men are: Leading shepherds m longwool flocks shall be paid not less than £9O per annum; ordinary shep(lierds of longwool flocks, not less than £BS; klading shepherds m hack country looking after merino flocks, not less than £9O; ordinary shepherds, hick country, or shepherding merino flocks, not less than £BO per nnnum; avlich musterers arc engaged to muster sheep for shearing, culling. dipping, or any other purpose, they shall be paid not less 'than 10s per day, and no time shall ho taken off for wet weather or any lost time over which the men have no control. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 10. At the Arbitration Court to-day. J. Thornton, bootmaker, was lined £5 and costs for dismissing a man during the consideration of an industrial award- Adams, Ltd., cycle Pikers, were fined £5 in each case for paying less than the amount of tlio award to two hoys. The Court said it was a deliberate breach' of the award. J. Dingle, butcher, was fined £3 for under-paying an employee. Thomas McNaught, a saddler, at Ambeiiey, was fined £5 for failing to pay overtime.
