TALISMAN SHARES UP. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 10. On tho Stock Exchange to-dav Miimsiwnitu Railway shares were sold at £2 4s, and even 'higher bids would have been made, but the market- was cleared of stock. Talismans were in keen demand, and sold as high as £2 Ids, the highest price ever paid here. It is understood that a record crushing will he commenced in a. day or two. Wa'ihis sold at £8 4s. Union Co. shareholders are holding out for £2l. New Zealand Shipping Co. shares were asked for at £6 6s, and Palmerston North Gas Co. shares at £7 2s 6d.
