Mr. W. Miller arrives back tomorrow morning from h business visit to Wanganui. The two young .son’s of Mr. John Tombleson, Waimata. who have been on a trip to England extending over six months, return to Gisborne on Saturday. There is nothing fresh to report regarding the condition of Mr. J. Cannon, recently ' injured at Tolaga. It is definitely reported that Mr. McCarthy, S.M., who has been the senior Magistrate in South la nd for over seven "v u vs, will he transferred to Napier a.ier Christmas (says a Press Association telegram from Invercargill).
