TREE-PLANTING BY PRISONERS.

ANOTHER EXPERIMENT. (Special to Times.) YVELLINGTON, Nov. 27. The prisoners engaged in treeplanting at YVaiothpu are to be removed to a new camp on tho Galatea road near Rotorua. Mr. McNnb has decided to omploy discharged prisoners in planting GOO acres by contract on land situated some distance from tho now camp, near YVaiotapu. Only men who havo had good conduct prison records will bo employed on this work, and as they havo all become more or less expert at- tree planting it is expected that the experiment will bo a paying ono for both the contractors and for the Government.
