INVERCARGILL, Nov. "21, Bertie James- Dawson, aged 6, was killed by a horse falling on him at AVaikiwi on Saturday. His 13-year-old sister saw the accident. The boy was riding the horse when the reins got under its feet; it reared and the boy fell off, the horse falling on him and crushing his head. Deceased’s sister pulled him from under the horse and carried him towards the house, where the mother met her. Blood was bubbling from the lad’s mouth, and he neither spoke nor moved. A doctor arriving in 20 minutes pronounced life extinct. At
the inquest the usual verdict was returned. AAIELLINGTON, Nov. 24. A married woman named Moore fell down a flight of stairs to the public gallery in the Supreme Court yesterday, a distance of about ISff. Her face was cut about a good deal, and she was taken to the hospital. Gerald Dee, a single man, slipped while attempting to board a moving tram car last night. He was dragged some distance, and a wheel jiassed over the upper part of his left leg. No bones were broken, and Dee was sent to tho hospital. Henry AAV Hii-tt, aged 56, an unmarried man, died suddenly at AVorser Bay last night. It is sup-posed death was due to heart disease. Hutit, who cam© hero from Nelson about six weeks ago, is said to have had a sister living at Palmerston North, and his father is at Ashburton.
