BRITISH SECRETARY OF STATE ASKED TO INTERVENE. (Received 1 a.m., Nov. 22.) BRISBANE. Nov. 21. A meeting of Kidstonites discussed the situation. It is understood nothing definite was decided, but it is believed Air. Philp will meet the House to-morrow, and give the Opposition a chance of withdrawing their refusal to grant supply. Failing this Parliament will probably be forthwith: prorogued preliminary to dissolution
It is rumored on the strength of Air. Ividston’s hint at further measures to fight the matter, that a memorial has been sent to the Secretary of State for the Colonies seeking intervention in tho present dissofutiou.
