Sir Frederick Bedford, Governor of Weaterni Australia, and Lu.dy Bedford have departed for England on a six monthis’ trip. All- T. A. Coleman, who has 1-oen N c.n a business visit .to the south, returns by the Talune to-dny. Air A. F. Kennedy returns to-day from a business visit to Napi ir. Alessrs Dartoni 'and Alorgan to- day nrriye back from attending til? sitting of the Education Board. 'The death occurred at the Gisborne Hospital at 11 a.m. yesterday o.f Airs. Ann Pitcher, at the age of 79. She was a. resident of 24 years’ duration in the Bay, having resided at Alakanaka, and latterly at Te Karaka. Airs. Pitcher had been jiart!ally aftn .in.vulad as tho result of •an accident fourteen or fifteen years ■ago. Holy end was not unexpected, as she had passed the last three mionths of heir allotted span in hospital. Deceased leaves, a number of relatives and connections in .the district, who have arranged .a private internment to-dlay.
