STRAIN REACHES ACUTE STAGE RUSHING EXPORTS TO SEABOARD. United Press Association —-Copyright NEW YORK, November 17. The Governor of California has convened an extra- session of the State Legislature, owing to the acuteness of the financial situation.
Minneapolis is rushing the export of flour to the seaboard by special trlains in order to break the currency famine. Southern cotton is being similiarly treated. LONDON, November 17.
The Paris and Berlin bourses are weak owing to fears of a rise in the English bank rate on Monday.

ILLEGAL LOAN'S AND FORGED PAPER, GOVERNMENT ISSUE BONDS. (Received Nov. 18, 10.17 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 18. American law officers declare that an investigation of the Borough Bank, Brooklyn, disclosed illegal loans and forged paper. An investigation of the Jen kins Trust Company, Brooklyn, shows .that illegal loans were made to the president of the company. iMr. Cortefyou, U.S.A. Treasurer, announces the issue of 50 million dollars on Panama Canal bonds. iHo adds that the Treasury will -also issue interest-bearing certificates, with indebtedness for a year, for 100 million dollars if necessary.
