PERSONAL.
On Saturday Mr. R.' Bmlmiucl proceeded to Auckland to be present, at the marriage of his brother. He was accompanied by- Mr. H. H. Do Costa, who is to act as best man.
Dr. Overton, Inspecting Medical Officer for the Government Life Insurance Department} left for tlie South on Sunday-. Mr. Twist let-on, Waimiata, is at present on a visit to town.
The following visitors are staying at the Gisborne Hotel: Mesdames A. Shand, Lopez, and Mayston, Messrs McKay, Fordham, M. Lewis, R. Drummond,. Jobson, R. C. Shand, Sleator, Fowler, Smith, Allen, A. Shand, Lopez, and Mayston. Mrs. Douglas Walker, of Pakari, is at- present on a visit to Gisborne, and is staying with her mother, Mrs. Witty.
Mr. F. Crespin, of Messrs Since toil and Co., Auckland, is at jiresent- in town.
Mr. A. F. Williams, manager for Messrs ‘Williams and Kettle, left by the Whakarua for Napier on Saturday evening. He is expected back on Wednesday.
Constable Wales, having, recovered! rom his recent indisposition, resumed duty yesterdu v. Mr G. Wf Sampson, formerly postmaster at Gisborne, who is at presenit on a short visit to the town, left oil Saturday night for Te Pui-a, where he will spend a few’days before returning to Greymoutli.
