SOLICITOR AND HIS WIFE. “MY DARLING IS IN HEAVEN.” (Jnited Press Association—Copyright SYDNEY. Nov. 16. Tlio victims of the Hotel Metropolo tragedy .are a Cowra solicitor, Dister King, .and his wife. Both tare well-conueoted. They arrived at the ‘hotel yesterday morning. ■ Tho husband left a pathetic letter, referring in endearing terms to his wife. ,He states he gave her .prussic acid. As it failed to have ' much effect, lie shot her. Ho then ! took poison himself, ibu.t woke up two hours afterwards. He swallowed a glass of brandy to steady, his nerves. Ho wrote a letter describing the awfulness of awaking from death. . The letter concludes: “My. darling is in heaven, but she will not have long to wait, as I am going to ►shoot myiself .and join her.” ; No reason is .given for the tragedy.
