At the Lowo street Horse Bazaar on Saturday tlioro was a good attendance of buyers. For a good line of half draughts tho following prices woro realised: —£l9, £2O, £2l, £22 10s, £25, £27, and £29. A largo on try of good throe-year heavy harness horses also sold well at £7 to £ls. Tho hotter kinds of hacks brought £7 to £l6, and ponies and inferior hacks £3 15s to £7.
Tlioro wus a largo attendance at Mr. F. S. Malcolm’s auction mart on Saturday morning, when produce of all kinds was put up. Bidding was brisk and tho supply unequal to tho demand, tho high prices paid for peas being an evidence of this. * Tho following were the prices realised: — Eggs Is Id to Is 2d doz, peas Is lOd peck, gooseberries 8d quart, pickling onions 2d lb, new potatoes 2RI lb, table Derwents -20 s sack, cabbages 3Jd, butter 9Jd to 10Jd lb, cockrels 1« 7d, other birds Is Gd to 3s Gd. After tho produce sale a largo amount of furniture was sold at satisfactory prices.
Tho following revenue was received at tho Custom-house last week :—Customs duties £934 5s 3d, light dues £IS 6s 6d, Harbor Board revenue £lB6 19s 4d, total £1139 11s 1. No beer duty was collected.
Messrs Miller and Craig report the following prices at their produce sale on Saturday :—New potatoes 3d and 2j lb, green peas Is 6d per peck, cauJiiflowers 15s, 12s, 7s doz; turnips 3d bundlo, asparagus 6d, lettuce 6d doz., tomato-plants 6d bundlo, rhubarb 7d buhdlp, onions 2i lb, potatoes 20s -poi’r sack, cabbago 4s 9d and 2s 9d doz., black Orpingtons 3s 3d, table fowls 2s Id and 2s lid, hens 2s Bd, white Leghorn chicks Is 4d and Is 3d, clucks Is lOd to 2s 2d, butter lOd, eggs llcl to Is Id, bacon 7jd, hams 81d. Furniture and sundries wero sold at satisfactory prices.
