TARIFF REDUCTIONS THIS SESSION.

TOTAL, £405,250. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 15. A return was presented to Parliament to-day shewing the estimated loss of revenue owing to the changes made in the tariff this session, as follows :—Sugar, £205,000 ; molasses and treacle, £6,200 ; cotton_ and linen piece goods, £55,000; fruits, dried, £32,000; figs, dates, and prunes, £12,000; vegetable oils, £12,000; paperliangings, £7,000; glass, crown, sheet, etc., £7,000; glass, plate, polished, etc., £4,000; cream of tartar, £6,500; sillcs, satins, etc., £5,000; laco and laces, £4,500; ribbons and crape, £2,500; artioles made up from textiles, £1,000; crewell, flourishing, and embroidery threads, £500; spices unground, £4,000; iron pipes and fibre 6in, cast iron 9in, £3,000; cork, cut, £2,500; mustard, £2,200; maizena and corn flour, £1,200; lead in sheets, £1,300; fencing staples, £1,000; wood or rubber heels or knobs £1,000; almonds and nuts, £l,looj blue, £1,000; hose, tubing, or piping, £1,500; surgeons’ instruments, £4,000; tobacco pipes, and cases, £1,000; soda carb and bicarb, £600; tartaric acid, £500; carriage rubber and pneumatic tyres, £6OO ; children’s boots and shoes, £600; meters, £1,000; infants’ foods, £1000; gum boots, £650; leather, £500; gelatine and isinglass, £800; all other items, £1,400; total, £405,250.
