Messrs Davey and AVitty have received a large number of wires from Christchurch protesting against the sentences imposed upon bookmakers at Christchurch yesterday for trespassing upon the Ricearton racecourse. They have laid the telegrams before the. Alinister of Justice, who is making enquiries into the matter.
