Tko Wai’kare, which avas detained on account of Monday’s holiday, will leave Napier at noon to-day, ami arrives hero in the early part of tlio ovening. She sails later in the evening for Auckland. Tho Tuatea is expected to leave tho wharf at 7 p.m. The Mokoia arrives to-morrow from Auckland, and leaves later for South. The N.Z. Shipping Co.’s s.s. Rimutaka arrives early this morning, and will at 1 once proceed to load frozen meat and wool for Home.

The Tyser liner Whakarua is duo to arrive this morning from Napier to load for England. Tho U.S.S. Co.’s Rakauroa will arrive from Newcastle (N.S.AV.) at the end of tiro week coal-laden. The schooner Gisborne is duo to arrive shortly from Mercury Bay and Tolaga Bay with a cargo of timber consigned to Messrs Clayton Bros Tho Tuatea, which sailed yesterday for Tolaga, returned late last night with a largo quantity of wool for transhipment to the Rimutaka- and Whakarua to-day. Over 1000 bales of wool were loaded into tho lighters yesterday by the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Company in readiness for the Home boats arriving this morning. Loading operations were continued until a late hour.

A large quantity of timber is expected to arrive in tho course of the next few days for Messrs Peacocks and: Co. per the barque Empreza and the scows Gannet and Kaora.
