AUCKLAND, November 12. Tho inquest on tho body of Frederick Jackson, found dead in a firoplaco at Raurimu, resulted in a vordict of suicide, caused by tlio explosion of a dynaniito cap in his mouth. There was no ovidenc© as to the cause of tho tragedy. A young woman, aged about 20, known only as Flora, has been drowned. Sho had been drinking on a scow with three men ,and hist night jumped overboard, and was drowned. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 12. The body of a middle-aged man was found floating in a creek at- Burwood this evening. . The deceased’s watch bore the inscription “A. Eckland Alotliven.” AVELLINGTON, Nov. 12.
An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Frederick Barrett, of Levin, which resulted from injuries received- by 'the explosion of an acetylene* gas generator tat his residence last June. Tlio evidence failed to show liow the explosion occurred. A verdict, of accidental death was returned.
Ah inquest took place to-day touching tho death of John Patrick McGowan, baker, 57 years of age, whose body was found in Wellington Harbor oh Sunday morning. AA hen deceased’s clotliing Was sea relied a Post Office Savings Bank hook was found, showing ho had drawn £8 on Friday. He was last seen alive at 5.30 on Saturday night, when ho was refused a bed because he was somewhat under tho influence of liquor. A verdict of “Found drowned.” was returned.
