A deputation of members of Parliament waited on the Premier today .in regard to dissatisfaction with the Railways Classification Bill. The question of paramount importance ■ wias the percentage of promotions in grades. In certain instances 50 per cent, was asked for, instead of 33 per cent, .as provided in the Bill. The question of increase resolved itself into a general demand by tbe deputation for one shilling increase instead of sixpence. The Premier said he had yet to receive, a deputation from the first division. He would see what could bo done in regard to allowing for broken time •through the 1890 strike to count for superannuation. The Premier said a special Act would bo necessary. He promised to reconsider the matter.
