PERSONAL.
-Mrs, Iv. S. Williams, of Matakiia, is -it present on a visit to Gisborne, an<l is staying at the Masonic Hotel. Mr. F. J. Lysnar, who recently underwent an operation for appendicitis, is progressing favorably, and it is expected that he will be about at the end of the week. Mr. H. Oram, of Messrs Sargood, Soil, and Ewen, has been transferred to the Auckland office, and leaves for his new duties in about a week. There is not much change to report in the condition of Mr. Graham, who was injured in a trap accident on the Tarulieru bridge some time ago, but he shows slight improvement. Mr T, W. Hughes, Makauri, who lias been farming in the Poverty Bay district for the past fourteen years, leaves during the week to take up a farm in the south. Dr Wilson, the newly-appointed superintendent of the Hospital, id t for the south on Sunday. On Sunday Mr T. A. Coleman proceeded south on private business. He will be away for about a week. Mr Emerson,' Assistant Veterinary Inspector, lias received notice of •bis transfer (to Hastings, -and ho leaves for Ms new sphere .of work on Sunday.
