Special to Times. WELLINGTON, Nov. 8. Tlio Extension of Commerce Comniitte reported yesterday that after taking evidence on the subject it was of opinion that the weight of lentals in corn-sacks carried over the railways should not exceed 2001-bs. It recoin,mended that the .Government should make such a new regulation as early as possible, without subjecting producers' to loss. The Premier said that, the Government would later on -Gazette a regulation in accordanoe with tho Committee’s recommendation, but this would not be doue until tho quantity of sacks at first in the country bad been ascertained. The report was ordered to be on the table.
