The Governor of California announces that it is his intention to proclaim a succession of legal holidays until confidence has been restored. .It. is not expected that all the banks will observe the holiday. The New York bankers arc urging President Roosevelt to convene a congress to deal with the currency reform. President Roosevelt promised to consider the suggestion, but gave no indication of his intentions.
