J lie executive of the Auckland Tunnel's Union passed resolutions of strong disapproval of the form of the Land Laws Amendment Bill passed bv the House, especially taking cxception to the terms allowed l.i p. tenants to convert to the freehold ; also against withholding the right <>l purchase on reasonable terms from tenants holding land aeipiired under the Land for Settlement, Act. Strong opposition was also expressed to the present form of the Land Eiulownient Bill, and regret that the Ministry were influenced by a small section of the House antagonistic to rural interests.
