ARBITRATION COURT.
■FINES FOR BREACHES. WANGANUI, Nov. I. ■ A sitting of the Arbitration Court was held lil*ro to-day. All breaches delut with were from outside districts. J. Campbell, of Marton, was fined £5 for failing to wav wages o( r---erv Saturday. H. F. Hunter, of Mart on, was fined £2 for failing to pay tlie minimum wage under the painters’ award. An employer named Westwood, Bulls, charged with under-paying a blacksmith, was ordered to pay costs. W. W. Davidson., of T.aihape, was fined £1 for failing to allow a blacksmith a half-holiday. U. Frenoli, of Bulls, was fined £2 for under-paying a tailor, and J. Brim ton, Hunterville, was fined £3 for under-pfiying a tailoress. H. Jones, an opera'tivo blacksmith, was fined £2 for working for Jess than the minimum wage.
