'The s.s. Kaco arrived from Auckland and East Coast ports last night at 7.45 with a general cargo for this port. On approaching her berth she got fast in the bed of the channel, and was consequently delayed in getting (alongside for fully an hour. Tho a.s. Kereru sails for Auckland this morning, talcing a quantity of maize. She calls at Opotiki en routo to supplement her cargo. The'Fanny, which arrived from Napier yesterday, brought 4175 ft timber for Afessrs Skeet Bros., 8029 ft for Air. G. Smith, 250 house blocks for Air. J. Somervell, 250 bouse blocks for Messrs Black'Bros, and a quantity of sundries. The cargo brought by the AAaikonini. which -arrived from Katikati on Tuesday, consisted of 66,000 ft timber for Messrs Peacocke and Co. The barque Empreza is expected to leavo Kaipara at an early date with 220.000 ft of rimu timber for Messrs Peacocke and Co. The ba.rquentino lima left Newcastle on Saturuiy with 500 tons of coal for the Gas Company. Tho New Zealand Shipping Co. s R.AI.S. Tongariro loft Capetown on the 29th Inst for Wellington, via Hobart.
