Threatening Behavior. —Charles Rvan was charged with threatening ■behavior in Peel-street on .Saturday. Accused pleaded guilty under.provocation. George B. Oman testified that accused rode up to the British Empire Hotel and asked another man to go out to the back. He refused to go, and then they had some words,- after which both struck iblc-ws. The occurrence happened in the alley between the hotel and Wildish’s shop. Neither of the men seemed to be the aggresson.—Hilton N. Lysnur gave similar evidence. Accused was, as far as lie knew, the aggressor. Acoused used filitihy language. To accused : Only saw the other man hit accused when lie was endeavoring to ward accused ", off. —Accused gave evidence on his own behalf. The altercation, lie said, started over paying for a drink. His opponent used a filthy name towards him. —■Accused was convicted and fined £l, with costs 2s. Drunkenness. —AVm. McCarthy was fined 10s and costs 2s. Two first offenders were dealt with in the usual ■manner.

AAAiltshire, Allaria Martin, Thomson, and Norah AlcPliee, and to Joseph Murpliy a 6 £23. —A new pension at £2O was granted to Janet Harron.— Olio' application was held over for the supply of necessary returns.
